In September our Early Years Student of the month Award went to not one, but six, students from Year 2 for outstanding practice and professionalism in a placement setting.
Missi Mae Howlett, Tayla Van Lille, Gamar Ali, Magda Sochocka, Sophie Dartnell and Poppy Edwards are all in a school setting for their placements and have been described by their class teachers as ‘professional, exceptional and a real asset in the class, loved by the children and possessing excellent knowledge and skills as they promote care and learning’. Their teachers made a point of contacting the Early Years Department here at college to let us know just how well they are doing and we are very proud to see Varndean students making such a positive impact in the lives of the young children they are working with.
