Estates and Facilities Assistant
Contract: Permanent
Salary: SFCA Support Spine Band 3, point 7 – currently £25,951 pro rata per annum. Actual salary £19,287.91 pa.
Hours: Part time – 27.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 12.00 pm – 5.30 pm, full year

We are looking for a motivated individual with a ‘can do’ attitude to work alongside the friendly and busy Estates and Facilities team to provide an efficient and proactive service. Applicants should be reliable, punctual and responsible, have previous keyholding experience, effective communication skills and hold a current driving licence.
The successful candidate will provide support for the Estates and Facilities service for the College. This will include a full range of duties delivering high standards in facilities and maintenance, safety and security including closing the premises. Working hours are 12.00 pm – 5.30 pm Monday to Friday.

Course Tutor - Health and Social Care
Programme Leader role available for suitable candidates.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Up to Pt 9 of the SFCA Teaching Pay Spine (dependent on experience) – currently £51,714 pro rata per annum. (PL role would attract a responsibility allowance of £2,629 per annum, plus 2 periods of management remission).
Hours: Part/full time – 0.8 – 1.0 FTE (27 – 34 periods per week)

Varndean College is a popular and successful sixth form college in Brighton and Hove, offering a wide range of A Level, vocational and International Baccalaureate courses to around 2,000 students aged 16–19. The college has a strong reputation for high-quality teaching, an inclusive ethos and excellent progression to higher education and employment.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified teacher to join our Health & Social Care team. Health and Social Care sits within the IB & Vocational school, alongside subjects such as PE, Sport and Public Services.
For candidates with the appropriate experience and leadership skills, there will also be the opportunity to apply for the role of Programme Leader for Health and Social Care. The Programme Leader will support curriculum development and work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching, learning and student outcomes.
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree and/or professional vocational qualification, together with a recognised teaching qualification/Qualified Teacher Status.
