On Thursday 23 April, Biology tutor Yaso Shan delivered a fascinating talk on the role of AI in 21st-century healthcare and biomedicine
Yaso explored the many benefits AI can bring to this area, from improved diagnosis and personalised treatment to enhanced research, greater efficiency, and increased accessibility.
She also took students and staff into a deeper dive looking at the wider implications of AI, including data privacy, big data, and the all-important doctor-patient relationship.
