Italian

Benvenuti alla lingua del amore!

Italian is a beautiful language which is growing in popularity and, as the world gets progressively smaller, there has never been a better time to get into languages. Italian GCSE is a subject you can start from scratch, so if you regret giving up languages at school, or if you started one and stopped before GCSE, why not take up Italian? This GCSE is a fast-paced course – you will reach GCSE level in one year, so you must be keen and work hard and never miss a lesson!

If you take Italian GCSE in your first year of College and achieve a grade A or B you can progress to the AS level in your 2nd year. Varndean College also offers a Fast Track A level in one year course for native or near native speakers.

There will be a trip to Italy to practice your language skills. Each week you will use the multimedia language laboratory.
