Concessionary Fees
If you are studying an accredited course you may be eligible for a concessionary fee if you fall in the following categories. You will need to enrol in person at the college and bring your means tested benefit evidence with you. This must be dated within two months of the course start date
- Claiming Job Seeker’s Allowance/Employment Support Allowance (work related activity group)
- It is your first Level 2 qualification and you are aged 19-23
- It is your first Level 3 qualification and you are aged 19-24
- You are unemployed and in receipt of a means tested benefit and wish to upskill to enter employment. You will need to complete a self-declaration form.
Instalment Payments
Tuition and examination fees are due on enrolment. If your course is more than one term and the fee amounts to more than £150 you may apply to pay in 3 instalments. Ask the registry about this when you enrol. Instalment payments incur a 10% handling charge. An instalment form must be signed prior to enrolment and fees are payable in full once you have started the course.
You may also apply to the Learning Support Fund for help with travel, childcare, materials fees and exam costs if you are in receipt of a means tested benefit or are on a low income. Please ask the Adult Education Office on 01273 546602 for more details and an application form.
Refunds
NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN ONCE A COURSE HAS STARTED.
Nor if you start a course and then fail to attend. If you enrol for a course and wish to withdraw before the course has started, a 10% or £25 minimum (whichever is the greater) administration charge will be deducted from your refund.
Fees for Non-EU students
If you come from a country outside the European Union, you will need to provide your passport or Home Office papers so we can see if you are eligible to pay the same fees as EU learners. Otherwise examination courses will be priced differently from the fees shown in this brochure.
